Greek Salad


Greek Salad - ILYNSI Yoga _ Healthy Foodie

Salad is an essential part of every meal. There is no way an ILYNSI meal is complete without an amazing and nutritious salad on the side. In some cases, a large salad is my meal and a perfect way to stay healthy. 

Materials: Knife, cutting board, salad bowl, mixing spoon 


  • 1 Cup Romaine Lettuce (or greens of choice)
  • 1 tblspn olive oil
  • 5 kalamata olives
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese (optional if dairy free or vegan)
  • 1 tbslspn za'tar spice
  • 1/4 red onions
  • 1/2 cup baby peppers
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 squeezed lemon 


Greek salad recipe - ILYNSI Yoga - Healthy Foodie - chopped vegetables


  • Wash the romaine lettuce well to remove any dirt. One trick I use is to soak my greens in salt water for a few minutes to extract any dirt or critters. 
  • Dry romaine lettuce 
  • Chop fresh vegetables 


  • Combine all chopped romaine lettuce and vegetables into a salad bowl
  • Add olive oil
  • Add za'tar
  • Add feta
  • Add kalamata olives 
  • Squeeze lemon
  • Mix well
