Homemade Croutons

If I haven’t already mentioned it I hate being wasteful, especially with food. Bread is a food item that has a short shelf life and to be honest, it’s only best when its fresh out of the oven. If you have bread laying around for three days its time to make some croutons that can be added to your salads.

Materials: Knife, cutting board, plastic bag, oven

Ingredients: Any kind of bread, garlic powder, mixed seasoning powder, salt, pepper, olive oil

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F

  • Cut bread into small cubes
  • Place in plastic bag
  • Add ¼ cup of olive oil
  • Add 1.5 tbspn of garlic powder and 1.5 tbspn mixed seasoning powder
  • Add a pinch of salt and pepper
  • Mix in bag
  • Let marinate for 5-7 min
  • Put in oven for 15 min
