Mediterranean Style Hummus Recipe - Healthy Foodie - ILYNSI Yoga

Try this Mediterranean inspired Hummus recipe. It can be a delicious appetizer or a nutritious snack.  

Materials: Blender, can opener, bowl

Ingredients: Canned garbanzo beans, head of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 tablespoon of labaneh, lime, olive oil, 1/2 cup of tahini, olives, za'tar spice, small lime

Preparation:

  • Open can of garbanzo beans and pour water into separate cup
  • Separate garlic cloves
  • Squeeze lime into a cup

Instructions:

  • Place whole can of garbanzo beans into blender
  • Add garlic to the blender
  • As you begin blending, slowly pour in the water 
  • Add olive oil
  • Add labaneh
  • Add tahini
  • Add squeezed lime juice
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • Blend until smooth 
  • Once blended, top with za'tar spice and kalamata olives
