Karma Series: The Law of Growth
The law of growth states that everything grows as it is planted. That means there is a universal truth that the result of every seed is determined by the energy used when it is planted. The purpose of this law is to instill a sense of conscious awareness and purposeful action in all that you do.
"Something must grow based on the kind and quality of seed planted”
The law of growth is a pretty powerful law when used in action. It is the power tool one can use to transform their lives from where they are to where they want to be. It requires a set expectation and deep concentration to achieve one’s goals. It also indicates that the amount of energy put into something is directly correlated to the output. For example, if you are looking to get a promotion at work then you must start with having a good rapport with your colleagues, create good quality work, and have professional behavior. However, if you are sloppy, constantly late, and/or rude towards others your chances of being promoted are slim. Although this is a very oversimplified example I’m sure you get the point. The universes rewards are based on what is given therefore, the more you give the more you are rewarded and the less you give the less you are rewarded.
As she has planted, so does she harvest; such is the field of karma”. - Sri Guru Granth Sahib
This law not only applies to the energy we emit outward but also to the energy that resides within ourselves. As humans, we do not just grow physically but also mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Our worlds are a mirror of our inner selves and so we need to ensure that the energy that resides within us is that of creation, positivity, and growth. From there, we can create the lives we wish to experience. This starts with managing our thoughts. Forgo negative thoughts as much as possible and focus more on gratitude. By changing ourselves we change our lives
“That which you plant in your mind is what continues to grow in your thoughts”
The law of growth is considered one of the simpler laws to comprehend. It has taught me that I have the power to create the change I want to see in my life. I am not bound by any one’s shackles but the ones I put on myself. Through focus and dedication, I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
