Guided Meditation for Listening to Your Inner Voice

Guided Meditation Transcript

Let's all start in a comfortable position whatever that means for you either in a seated cross legged position or even lying down in savasana. Once you have found your comfortable position close your eyes and begin to focus on your breath INHALE for 3 counts and EXHALE for 4 counts. With every exhale silently say to yourself “I’m here” this is your inner voice gently calling out to you (5 breaths).

Listen to my voice as I will guide you through 5 deep breaths to begin relaxing the mind and body into a state of comfort and serenity. 

  1. One, take a deep breath in and notice the expansion of your lungs on the exhale feel the muscles in your feet, legs and thighs relax and silently say “I’m here”
  2. Two, take another breath in this time much deeper than the one before and notice the expansion of your lungs and your rib cage, on the exhale feel the muscles in your hips, abdomen, and chest release any tightness or tension and silently say “I’m here”
  3. Three, continue to breathe deeply into the body sending your breath to your shoulders, collarbones, neck, and jaw and on the exhale allow them to relax releasing any tightness or tension that remains there and silently say “I’m here”
  4. Four, continue this process of breathing life, love, and warmth into your body and release your holding patterns from all the small areas of your body that carry any burden and silently say “I’m here”
  5. Five, taking in this final deep breath before returning your breath to its natural rhythm. And on the breath out release any pain, tightness, or tension remaining in your body and silently say “I’m here”

And now allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm you find that you are fully relaxed, safe, and supported, and open to hearing your inner guide bring you into alignment with your true self. Your natural breath rhythm continues the process of full relaxation having let go of any negative thoughts or physical tension.

If at any point your mind wanders, bring yourself back to your breath. As you continue this process, allow yourself to sink deeper and deeper into comfort and serenity and as you drift deeper, you find yourself in a relaxed state where your subconscious mind expands and guides you in the direction you have been seeking. 

Imagine yourself walking through a forest and I am your guide. You are safe and exactly where you need to be. You see a path leading to some caves, start walking down that path. As you are walking you hear the comforting sounds of birds chirping, you feel the light warm breeze of the wind as it touches your face, you enjoy the sound of the river flowing. All of these beautiful sounds of nature play harmoniously in concert to create a sense of wellbeing and security. Continue walking along the path. As you continue down the path you are on you see an entry into a cave. You may enter that cave, it is dim but you are not afraid. As you enter that cave, you see steps and start walking down those steps. The further you go, the deeper into your subconscious you are entering. You are beginning to notice a sense of familiarity, belonging, realization, identity, and self. Once you get to the bottom of the steps, you see a figure who turns around. That figure is you. It is the inner you. The inner you comes close to your ear and whispers a message about who you are and what you most desire. Through this message, you are being reminded of your inner purpose. You and the inner you are engaging in conversation. Together you are talking and laughing. You are being reintroduced to who you are and remembering your true purpose. You are hearing the words of the emotions you have been feeling for some time. You are understanding what those emotions have meant all along.  You know exactly what you are meant to do now.You are ready to pursue your purpose.         

Allow yourself to feel this difference in your body and in your emotions. Simply take this time to be in the present with how your body feels, and what emotions you are experiencing. Know that your inner voice is subtle but has been guiding you all along providing you with a safe and supportive environment. Your inner voice guides you through your fears and doubts helping you to overcome your challenges and move in the direction you desire. This is your time to take care of you and learn to listen to the subtleness of your intuition. Allow yourself to be introspective and find that familiar state of relaxation and calm so you can live intentionally, cultivating your values, and have clarity along your life journey. 

Replace all unserving beliefs with those that serve your highest good. Believe in the power of your subconscious mind to heal, strengthen, and support you on your journey through this world. What the mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve. Your inner voice speaks the desires of the heart, it knows what you want, who you want to be, and who you truly are. Your mind listens to what you tell it so it is imperative that you feed it with positive thoughts and be attentive and aligned with your intentions to allow your heart and mind to connect. Visualize yourself following the guidance of your inner voice to lead you to the way you want to be, your real self. Allow this image to be clear in your mind and let your subconscious mind be the driving force of your decision making process. Let this image guide you towards your happiness and success. As your intuition continues to expand you begin feeling a sense of confidence in your abilities to achieve your innermost desires.

You choose to take time everyday to strengthen your connection to your inner voice, to strengthen your mind, and to live with intention. You take time every day to give yourself love and pursue goals that align with your full potential. Because of this, you live in alignment with your authentic self, you are focused and open to possibilities of positive experiences, you are motivated to accomplish anything you want to. 

With today's practice, you have solidified your relationship with your true self and committed to let your inner voice guide your hearts desires, you have strengthened the connection between the heart and mind, you have committed to thinking positively to increase confidence and motivation, you realized the all the love and confidence you have inside of you and released old unserving patterns, and created space for new patterns and positive habits. You are smiling because you now see yourself with a positive and confident mind feeling proud and grateful of all that you have achieved and all that you will achieve. You now know how to trust yourself and find yourself whenever you feel unsure. As you begin to come out of this state of relaxation you are feeling confident and motivated knowing that you will succeed. 

Begin to bring gentle movements to your body and notice that your mind is clear and confident aligned with your intentions feeling wonderful and emotionally calm and at peace, when you are ready to open your eyes you are energized and fully awake.

Before we conclude this meditation, I would like to take a few minutes to just jot down some of our thoughts in a journal while our minds are still clear and our intuition is guiding you. Meditation is a tool to help you access your inner wisdom that will guide you along your journey.
