    • TONE: Friendly, positive, inclusive

    • AUDIENCE: You’re writing for yoga and wellness lovers —from newbies to advanced practitioners and everyone in between.

    • LANGUAGE: Be yourself, but be mindful of your audience. Keep your writing specific, detailed, and accessible. Some of our readers are newly embarking on their wellness journey and may be unfamiliar with Sanskrit or medical terminology. We want everyone to feel comfortable with learning about yoga and wellness, so please define all foreign words and phrases.

    • RESEARCH: Research your topic thoroughly. If it’s not common knowledge, make sure to cite your references at the end of your article. Citations should identify the author, title, publisher, city and state of publication, and publication date of each work.

    • FORMAT & LENGTH: Please include an engaging headline and a subtitle (a brief, one-sentence description of your article). We strongly encourage the use of subheadings, bulleted learning points, checklists, and numbered lists; and articles typically run from 500-800 words.

    • ORIGINALITY: We are all unique and our writing should be as well. Make sure your article is original and properly cited. If your submission does not pass Copyscape, it will not be accepted.

    • EDITING: We reserve the right to revise, enhance, retitle, and adapt all article submissions to conform to the style and format of our website. 

    • PHOTOGRAPHS: We encourage you to submit photos with your article, as long as you own them or include a link to your source. Images should be at least 4000 x 2666 pixels.

    • BIOGRAPHY: Please submit your photograph and brief biography with your first article. Include information on your experience, education, or expertise as related to yoga and conscious living, along with links to your social pages and websites.

    • SHARING is caring! Feel free to share your articles via email, websites, and social media pages. We will share your work, too. The more views, the better.
